LDA and/or Immigration Consultant: The Pitfall

Perhaps the most difficult aspect of being a Legal Document Assistant (LDA) and/or Immigration Consultant, is the delicate line between practicing law and providing self-help services. #LDA #immigrationconsultant

The law is clear that neither an LDA nor an Immigration Consultant can provide legal advice and/or legal services – the province of lawyers and other similarly situated legal custodians.

Thus, one has to, constantly, conduct self-examination in order to abstain from the pitfall of engaging in lawyering, yet not shying away from securing and engaging the appropriate clientele.

A hazardous dance indeed!
