Effective October 29, 2025, USCIS will not accept paper check and money order payments. Applicants will have to complete and sign Form G-1650, Authorization for ACH Transactions. This form grants USCIS permission to collect fees electronically using the bank account information of an applicant.
For those who are not able to use Form G-1650, there is the current option to use Form G-1450, Authorization for Credit Card Transactions.
Form G-1450 provides for applicants to utilize credit cards to make payments.

No doubt getting rid of paper checks and/or money orders is very efficient.
For one, it saves time spent on manpower. Secondly, this reduces the risks of theft and fraud, and other similar dishonest practices intended to unlawfully acquire money or assets from a financial institution.
